Strenthening county medical treatment is a national policy. The state has been encouraging and requiring eligible medical institutions to upgrade further and to improve the capacity of grassroots services .
A lot of capitals went into these hospitals
In November last year, the National Health Commission decided to carry out the 'Thousand Counties Project' to improve the comprehensive capacity of county hospitals, and issued the 'Thousand Counties Project' To improve the comprehensive capacity of county hospitals work Plan (2021-2025) (hereinafter referred as the Plan).
According to the plan, county hospitals should improve their comprehensive capacity as a powerful measure to improve the hierarchical medical system and an important part of promoting high-quality development of public hospitals.
The goal is to have at least 1,000 county-level medical institutions in China ,approching the level of tertiary medical institutions by 2025.
Prior to this, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Health Commission, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the State Administration of Disease Control and Prevention issued the Implementation Plan for the Construction of a High-quality and Efficient Medical and Health Service System during the 14th Five-year Plan period, which made arrangements for the upgrading and expansion of county-level hospitals.
It is clear that every prefecture city should strive to have a Grade A Tertiary Hospital, to achieve the standard and hardware facilities and service of a city hospital to server a population of more than 1 million patients.
Moreover, the government also issued the Notice on Printing and Distributing the Work Plan of Pairing Tertiary Hospitals with County-level Hospitals during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period, requiring continuous promotion of the comprehensive capacity of county-level hospitals through pairing tertiary hospitals with county-level hospitals. By 2025, in counties with a permanent population of more than 50,000, at least one county-level hospital will have the ability to provide medical services as a secondaryl hospital, and strive to achieve the ability as a l grade-A secondary hospital. For counties with less than 50,000 permanent residents, we will strive to have one county-level hospital achieve the medical service capacity of secondary hospitals.
Financially, we supported county-level hospitals in poverty-stricken areas, three regions and three prefectures, central Soviet areas, and inhospitable areas to upgrade their standards and expand their capacity.
For a single project of county-level hospitals, the maximum investment subsidy from the central budget is 50 million yuan.
After this huge subsidy fund flows into county-level medical institutions, it is bound to bring great change to the medical device industry.
Whether it is financial subsidies or the gradual improvement of diagnosis and treatment capacity through pin-up assistance, it is the manifestation of the state's preference to the grass-roots level in terms of policies and funds.
In addition, at present, only by improving the diagnosis and treatment capacity of grassroots health institutions can we firmly guard the first line of defense.
Therefore, in the development planning of China's medical industry in the future, the upgrading of grassroots hospitals will also become one of the key points, the market position of grassroots medical care will become more and more important, and the vision of armed enterprises should also expand from the top three hospitals to county hospitals, put more long-term. 16,804 county hospitals must be equipped with these devices
According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, by the end of 2020, there were 16,804 county-level hospitals in China. Under the promotion of national policies, more county-level hospitals are bound to accelerate the upgrade of Tertiary or even Grade A Tertiary Hospitals, ushering in the wave of equipment expansion.
The upgrading and improvement of hospitals will definitely open the demand gap for medical devices, which also provides many business opportunities for medical device suppliers.
In order to upgrade county hospitals to tertiary hospitals, they must meet the recommended equipment configuration standards on the basis of the existing ones. The standards are now arranged as following for reference:
